Harare Direct Aid Program Round 2 2016-2017

Please read the following information carefully to help you complete your online application.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN Welcome to the online application service to the Direct Aid Program (DAP) of the Australian Embassy in Harare provided by SmartyGrants. This form allows you to resume the application at the stage that left the last time you opened it. To do this, you just have to press - "Save Progress" - as you fill out the form. NAVIGATING THE APPLICATION FORM In each form page there is an option called "Form Navigation" where you will find an index of pages of the form. Click the link shown to go directly to the desired page. You can also press "Previous page" or "Next page" at the top or bottom of each page to move backwards or forwards on the form.

SAVE YOUR APPLICATION If you want to leave a partially completed form, click "Save and Close". The next time you enter Smartygrants, click the "My Submissions" at the top of the window. There you will find a list of all started applications displayed. You can reopen your application form and continue where you left off. You can also download any form, either a draft or a completed form in PDF format. To do this, click the "Download" button at the bottom of the window.

SUBMIT / END YOUR APPLICATION Review your application before submitting it by clicking on "Review and Submit" option at the bottom of page. Once you have reviewed your application, you can finish by clicking "Submit" at the top of the page. You can only submit your application after answering all mandatory questions. Once submitted the application cannot be amended. After submission, you will receive an automatic email confirmation with a copy of your application attached. This confirmation will be sent to the email address provided on the form of the application. If you do not receive an email confirmation, you should assume that your application has not been successfully sent.

ATTACHMENTS AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS If you need to attach documents to your application such as quotations, pictures or budget, please make sure that you have the necessary files in digital format on your computer or other storage device, so that you can attach to the application form. You can only upload one attachment at a time, so you should wait for a file to load before attaching the next. Files can be 25 MB each. However, we recommend files with a maximum of 5 MB because the larger the file, the longer the charging time.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS Applications for DAP funding are screened by the DAP coordinator. Short-listed projects are then considered by the DAP committee. Projects approved by the committee are recommended to the Ambassador for final approval. The assessment process will begin after the closure of each round and can take up to 2 months. Only successful applicants will be contacted.
